< TERMS AND CONDITIONS >
1. General Information: a. The "USA Taekwondo Challenge" tournament
(hereinafter referred to as the "Tournament") is organized by Master Oak and
Master Kim and is open to all taekwondo practitioners. b. Participants agree to
comply with these terms and conditions by signing up for the Tournament.
2. Eligibility: a. The Tournament is open to all taekwondo practitioners, regardless of
age or rank. b. Participants under the age of 18 must have the consent of a
parent or legal guardian to participate. c. All participants must be affiliated with a
recognized taekwondo school or organization.
3. Registration: a. Participants must register for the Tournament by the specified
deadline through the official registration channels provided by the Organizer. b.
Registration details must be accurate, including the participant's name, age,
biological sex, contact information, and affiliation. c. Participants may be required to
provide proof of affiliation with a taekwondo school or organization upon request.
4. Fees: a. A non-refundable registration fee, as determined by the Organizer, is
required to secure a participant's spot in the Tournament. b. All fees must be paid
by 9/18/23, as stated by the Organizer.
5. Rules and Regulations: a. The Tournament will be conducted in accordance with
the rules and regulations of the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) or the
respective national taekwondo governing body. b. Participants are responsible for
familiarizing themselves with the Tournament rules and regulations. c. Any
violations of the rules may result in disqualification from the Tournament, as
determined by the Tournament officials.
6. Waiver of Liability: a. Participants understand and acknowledge that taekwondo
is a contact sport and involves inherent risks. b. Participants and their legal
guardians (if under 18) waive all claims against the Organizer, event staff, and
sponsors for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during the Tournament. c.
Participants are advised to obtain personal insurance coverage to protect against
any unforeseen circumstances.
7. Code of Conduct: a. Participants must conduct themselves in a respectful and
sportsmanlike manner throughout the Tournament. b. Any form of
unsportsmanlike conduct, including but not limited to verbal abuse, physical
aggression, or cheating, will not be tolerated and may result in immediate
disqualification. c. Participants are expected to adhere to the values of integrity,
respect, and fair play.
8. Photography and Videography: a. The Organizer reserves the right to capture
photographs and videos during the Tournament. b. Participants grant the
Organizer permission to use such photographs and videos for promotional
purposes, without compensation or notification.
9. Cancellation or Modification: a. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel,
modify, or postpone the Tournament for any reason deemed necessary, including
but not limited to insufficient registrations or unforeseen circumstances. b. In the
event of cancellation or modification, the Organizer will provide reasonable notice
and refund any applicable registration fees. After 9/18/23, all fee are non-
refundable.
10. Disputes: a. Any disputes arising from the Tournament or these terms and
conditions will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which
the Tournament is held.
11. Severability: a. If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be
invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and
effect.
By signing up for the "USA Taekwondo Challenge" Tournament, participants confirm
that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these terms and conditions.
